Description: 
An edited video providing highlights of the approach to monitor the Flinders Marine Park. This short video gives an overview of a marine survey on the RV Challenger of the Flinders Marine Park, located off northeast Tasmania. The survey area, located about 50 kilometres south east of Flinders Island, is recognised as an important area for a range of marine life, including diverse sponge gardens that grow on rocky reefs, sea birds and migrating whales. This survey is one of a series of seabed mapping projects in targeted areas of Australia's Marine Parks being undertaken by Marine Biodiversity Hub as part of the National Environmental Research Program.
